Carry This Curse
I carry this curse for you
It hangs just like lead in my chest
When we tough it sits at rest
When you’re miles away it’s heaviest
I walk through the week again
Longing to meet with its end
To forget that it had ever been
’Cause where it stops, we begin
I’ll return to this world that stays secret
Buried in sheets behind walls where we keep it
Hidden from all of the eyes on the outside,
Begging for time that’s denied- They won’t get mine
Take me back there
And I swear that I’ll never come out
Back to walking now
As each foot hits the ground
I hear the same monotonous sound
I hate the wait/weight, It weighs me down
Everything goes someday
It weakens and begins to fray
If it turns out you’re the same way…
I’ll return to this world that stays secret
Buried in these memories where we keep it
Hidden from all of the eyes on the outside,
Deep in my dreams, underneath where I reside
Take me back there
And I swear that I’ll never come out
